Beth is an individual that is driven by challenges and strives to be better at what she does everyday. She looks for opportunities to learn new skills to broaden her knowledge. She is inspired by the people around her and the things she sees when she travels.

Beth worked as a Web Publisher & Graphic Designer for SOA Systems Inc. She worked professionally as a freelance web and graphic designer for companies such as Sutton Member Program and Finder Financial.

Beth Liang was born in China and moved to Vancouver, Canada when she was young. She was curious about art at a young age and spent most of her free time drawing. Beth's interest for design developed when she made her first website in high school and she was determined to learn about HTML, CSS, and Photoshop on her own. By university, Beth had already volunteered many hours of her time doing web graphics and print designs for school and for the community such as the Stanley Park Ecology Society.

Beth attended the School of Interactive Arts + Technology (SIAT) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 2006 pursuing a Bacholor of Arts degree, majoring in Design. During her time there, she learned about interdisciplinary design. In SIAT, Beth worked collaboratively in cross functional teams and learned how to generate creative design theories and approaches. During her school years, have developed a strong interest in interface design, usability, as well as audio and visual design.

Beth also spent a few years studying in SFU Beedie School of Business in areas such as Marketing, Commercial Law, Accounting, and Economics. Beth learned that there is always a business side to things and uses this knowledge to help her better understand her clients' needs.

Outside of school, Beth was actively involved in SFU|UBC YOURS Student Association, where she played the role of I.T. and Creative Director , and later became the Vice President of YOURS Student Association. Beth made promotional materials for the club's events as well as club branding. She was also closely involved in the event DANCEOLOGY as a Creative Assistant Producer and I.T. support.
